Manga Digest returns with the Oct Issue of Gekkan ASUKA!

Alrightey! This is a belated post yet again. Before I even begin with an image summary of the Oct issue, I just want to say how appalling some peeps in the fandom have become especially THAT person and her accomplice(s) from a certain manga community in Baidu. It’s not as if this matter hasn’t been brought up and address before but this dishonest person just won’t give up causing problems for others in the fandom’s community. If you’re mouthing people off because they share teasers on their blog(s), then you are just a gazillion times as wrong for taking their scans without their knowledge and claiming that you are the source. STUPIDO! What part of what you do is right huh? If you want to be the source, go buy the damn manga-zines or tankoubons yourself and do whatever you like with them, we don’t give a freaking shit0!. Don’t just go mouthing others off because you can’t get what they can and then you go off stealing stuff and pretend like you’re the wonderful person that you are. That, peeps, is DIRECTED at the person who I bloody well know is stalking tBPII exactly for this wanton purpose. SIGH! RANT over. Now let’s move on to saner things.
New Volume Releases
-Barajou no Kiss-
Chapter 37 has been out there a while now. Well, now we know how ‘Harry’ met ‘Sally’ as in how Anis’ dad met with her mom and how they were separated.
-Kamitoki no Resist-
3rd Chapter of bishies who can’t resist showing off their onmyou magic 😛
Hayato and Jin…despite the cover, these two aren’t exactly bonding yet even though they have a somewhat common goal but they do have cute and funny ‘familiars’.
-Hana wa Sakura yori mo Hana no Gotoku-
New shoujo manga from Kawai Yumi and Sakano Keiko about a young girl cross-dressing as a boy so that she could be a ‘noh’ actor. The classical Japanese theater shows are performed male actors which is the reverse of the Kabuki theater, where the performers are female.
-Yoshiwara Hana Oboro-
2nd chapter of Otonaka Sawaki’s manga. I actually like Akaki Tsuki…much more so than Ayahatori in terms of story and plot. This one looks to be similar to Akaki combining drama, comedy, mystery and romance. At least I like that the shoujo heroines in both stories are feisty characters. So, Hana is trap in old Edo of yore and she still doesn’t know how she got there. Will she be able to find a way back to the present?
-Kyou kara Ma no Tsuku Jiyuugyou!-
Gwendel’s manga version looks more dashing than his anime counterpart. Yuri and Murata are still being captive somewhere in Cimaron. Murata reveals he is the other double black.
-Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken-
Mirelle seemed intrigue with the dashing caped hero who saved her previously, enough to want to masquerade as Fred to try track him down but…

-Samurai Drive-
This be the school festival chapter. Ibuki and Kokonoe made up after clearing up their differences and get to entertain some kawaii little kiddies 😀
-Shinrei Tantei Yakumo-
The end of File 3.
-Messiah ~Seiiki Ishuu-
Chapter 4 – The undercover Sakuras fail to thwart a murder although the intended victim avoid being killed by the assassins. There’s a live action film of Messiah that will air in Oct.
-Genji Monogatari-
This is the final chapter of the manga adaptation.

Thanks for your help ^_^. I am looking at the pic w/ the guy wearing glasses (sandy colored hair) and hugging a girl in a headband (she has a cross shape on the ruffle of her sleeve) He looks really interesting *^_^*. I kind of recognize it but not *^_^*’. It reminds me of something but it must be different from what I am thinking. It has a #3 in a purple box with the image. I haven’t checked out Barajou no Kiss yet, but it looks engaging as well ^_~. Thanks again. I really enjoy spending time looking around on your site, thank you for sharing.

I have a question *^_^*. Which story is pictured in #3 of the new volume release page. I thought it was maybe Barajou no kiss but his hair is more full and dark. It is probably obvious to everyone else *^_^* but I am not familiar with it. It looks like something I want to see more of so I am interested in the title. Hi, sorry to bother you but since you recieve ASUKA I would like to ask you what was the last chapter number of D.N.Angel. Because untill now the fans got untill stage 4 vol 14 part 1, but in the wikipedia says that the part 2 of that stage (4) is out.
If you could tell me if the chapter (stage 4 part 2) is out or not I really would apreciate. Since the rrumors of Yukiru Sugisaki going in hiatus seems true (I just home she doesn’t stay there for long) I don’t expect new chapters for a while.

The last chapter was Stage 4 Vol 14 P1. It has a ‘THE END’ at the last page of the chapter. There was no publication of D.N Angel since way back after the Feb Issue of Asuka. 🙂

My God… Just saying “these scans are from here” and inserting a link instead of adfirming that they’re their property, is not a difficult thing to do. People are so ungrateful…
However… OMG Asuka Cover is &hearts_♥ Samurai Drive chapter looks so cute~
And the one of Yakumo too, I love Yakumo x Haruka scenes, they’re adorable together and I can’t wait for the next month, the manga will be published in Italy! 😀

It’s good to hear that Yakumo will get an Italian release. Hopefully more fans would now go purchase the local release to keep supporting the mangaka. File 3 has a sad wistful ending when Kamiyama chose to kill himself to be with his beloved. At least the souls of Kamiyama and Rika are reunited.

Yes, both manga are good choices. If you like Akaki Tsuki by the same mangaka for Yoshi Hana, then you’ll probably enjoy Yoshi Hana. 🙂

Yoshiwara Hana Oboro is very new. There’s on 2 chapters released in Asuka, well 3 counting the Nov issue I have in my hand.
It’s hasn’t been translated yet but ‘Kawai Corner’ Scanlation team has picked it up for their future project. You might have to wait a while for the scanlated chapter since they are a small team and they are currently tied-up with several other manga projects.
And no, Messiah is not Shounen-ai. However the ‘Messiahs’ had to get in character under cover, infiltrating and investigating a school where they suspect one or more of the students had link to the mafia…who are targeting a wealthy businessman’s heir….something to that effect. My memory is fuzzy these days. 😛
