Time for news of UraBoku!

It’s back, back, back. After nearly a year long hiatus, the new chapter is out! I meant to share the latest snippets right after putting up 07-Ghost final chapter. Somehow, things got busier and I had to set it aside. But anyway, we won’t be having such problems this month. So, keep a look out for the newest teasers. This will become a regular feature, taking over the spot from 07-Ghost which had just ended.

To celebrate UraBoku’s come back, Asuka featured the manga on it’s cover of the Oct issue.

Mag Updates: Asuka Issue 09/13

Let’s get up to speed with some mag updates from the latest issue of 月刊 ASUKA. As I haven’t been posting magazine snippets of late, there had been some new titles that begun serialization recently. I’m sure there are some from the manga fandom that are on the look out for new stuff to read seeing as some popular titles have ended or are going to end soon. So, it is worth checking out what’s new, what’s still ongoing or is on hiatus and what’s upcoming.

Sharing some UraBoku Updates and Snippets

Fans of Hotaru Odagiri’s manga ‘Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru’ will be happy to know that their favourite manga is resuming serialization in Gekkan Asuka’s Oct Issue which will come out this month (Aug). To celebrate, the Sept issue of Asuka carries an official announcement plus a brief recap summary of what happened in the previous chapters, just in case us fickle fans suffered from memory loss due to the nearly year long absence of any new chapters. (⌒_⌒;)

Part of a string of stuff that Odagiri-sensei has been doing in the run-up to the resumption of UraBoku, was the recent release of the special collected volume of UraBoku’s play inspired stories plus a short manga that’s related to Toko and Tsukomo Murasame’s childhood. Ayu had meant to share some scanned illustrations from the volume that she’d gotten last month but yeah, she got bitten by the lazy procrastination bug. (ﾐ´ω`ﾐ))

Mangazine Digest – June 2013 Edition

It has been a while since I posted any mag updates on this blog. Well, good news to followers of tBP (or not :-P). In this update, I’ll be sharing some manga snippets from both Asuka and Zero-Sum June issues albeit a little late as I have already gotten the July editions of both. I just thought I put them up anyway.

OTH, fans of UraBoku must have been wanting to know if the manga has return. The answer is unfortunately no. The manga is on an indefinite hiatus from Asuka. By the looks of it, UraBoku is coming to an end.  More on its status a little later in this post. In any case, Odagiri-sensei isn’t idling away either. She came out with a one shot manga titled ‘Marebito Cafe‘ and this was published in the June issue of Asuka. So, as an added bonus to fans of UraBoku, I included a full chapter preview in this post.  Do check it out if you enjoy Odagiri-sensei’s work. You’ll find it quite different from UraBoku.

New Year Snippets: UraBoku 2013 Calendar and 07-Ghost Kapitel 91

ヾ(＾∇＾) Hi all. Ayu is happy to share the first new year mag specials and manga snippets on tBPII. The Feb issue of Asuka came with a bonus 2013 Calendar featuring UraBoku manga illustrations by Hotaru Odagiri. I’ve also gotten the Feb issue of Comic ZeroSum and that means 07-ghost snippets are in store for 07-G fandom. I often look forward to receiving the magazines at this time of year as they tend to come with all sorts of furoku…ha, who doesn’t like getting such freebies. But anyway, on to the bonuses.

UraBoku Vol.10 & 11: Covers plus inserts with extended extras of Story 52

VOLUME RELEASES: 裏切りは僕の名前を知っている 第10巻 & 第11巻

UraBoku‘s latest tankoubon Vol.11 was released on Oct-25 and I had gotten my copy very recently. Volume 11 covers 4 chapters i.e Story 49 to 52.  However, the tank version of Story 52 is an extended version with additional panels that were not published in the magazine version which I had previously shared in this post. The expanded chapter is 10 pages long. I wonder if Odagiri-sensei will have the extra panels added to Story 53 in ASUKA. Otherwise, it won’t make sense as there’s quite a missing chunk that highlighted the deteriorating condition of Takashiro and the continued conversations between Yuki, Hotsu, Toko and Tsukumo.  So, unless you buy a copy of Vol. 11, you won’t be able to see the extended chapter. But the UraBoku fandom is so lucky because Ayu is sharing those extra pages here, nyah!

This is a long overdue post but we think it is a blessing in disguise because there isn’t any new chapter in Asuka’s latest Oct issue.  What better way to space out the timing of posting the last 2 chapter snippets during the month long break until the next one (Story 52) which will come out later this month (Nov issue).  So, here goes!

ASUKA Issue 05/12 and Uraboku Story 48 Snippets

It’s May already and isn’t it appropriate to share snippets from the May Issue of ASUKA. It’s later than expected and I do have the current June Issue in hand as well although I won’t post teasers from that copy yet. With that said, there’s no new Uraboku chapter in the June issue. That means the Uraboku fandom will have to wait longer for the next chapter. It is one of the reason why I forgo a quick Uraboku spoiler post earlier on.  I’m not even sure if there’s a new chapter in the coming July issue. Anyway, those of you looking forward to Story 48 shall be pleased because I’m posting the chapter teasers right here.
