Manga Digest continues with blurbs on GFantasy Issue 10/11!
“GFantasy Oct issue is truly a bumper one. It’s soooo thick and you know what, it’s packed with one of the biggest twist of a tale that I’ve read this month. Seriously, Oct is a month full of twists and turns from several of my regular favourites. But OMG, GFan tops the list with two fantabulously awesome chapters, one of them is just so mind blowingly good. I could go on and on but yeah…nobody wants mindless babblings now, do they?!” 😛
Who’s on the cover you ask? A bunch of boys from a slow-mo manga called ‘Kimi to Boku‘ trying to appear bad-ass…LOL. That’s because the boys are going to have their own animated show on TV next month. Cue the ‘cool’ shot for the cover. XD That’s right peeps, Hotta Kichi’s ‘Kimi to Boku’ will air this coming OCT.
Honestly, the cover illustration induces lots of chuckles from moi. ^o^
One of the main reasons why I’m not dropping GFan from my sub-list is because two of my regulars are still ongoing and the other is that, GFan introduces some good one shots or short series that are more often interesting than not . It’s bringing in more new titles in the coming issues, both online-web and publication.
Look at what’s back in serialization?! It’s デュラララ!!
Since the manga adaptation is continuing again, can we expect a 2nd anime season sometime in the distant future?! More animated craziness from IZAYA, me want! I think that the novels translated much better in animated form than this manga adaptation. 😛
First of two “OMIGOSH” NOOOOOO @_@ Chapters
The question is ‘Can a demon suffer mortal injury from a shinigami weapon?’ Sebby’s been sliced by Grell’s saw in the earlier chapters of the Madam Red‘s arc and survived. But this is the first time he’s been impaled thru the middle like that by a former death GOD with an obviously deadlier death blade that looks to be positively ancient, compared to the other shinigami gardening tools. Will Yana-sensei finally show us Seb’s true form? I reckon she’ll stick with the revelation of the actual contract between Ciel and Sebastian and how it happened but not show more than what we got a glimpse of in this chapter. Still, what is Undertaker‘s true motive beyond creating ‘zombies’? It will be lame if it turns out that he only wants to play GOD with manipulating human souls. So cliche. What most peeps want to know is the relevance of his story to the main plot. He was there among Vincent’s crowd in the past. I doubt he’s the real villain or is Yana-sensei planning to end the manga already. Now that would be even more OMFG abrupt. I hope there’s a little more to what we’ve seen so far.
Ah, but to see Sebby suffering like that is still ‘OUCH’. If he dies momentarily or goes berserk after that, it will be awesome to see. And no, Ciel probably won’t hit the ground but me thinks he’ll come desperately close to it. This chapter also kept me thinking if Yana-sensei will do a parallel to the anime in turning Ciel into a demon. Would I be disappointed if that happens? I guess it all depends on how the mangaka pulls it off and ties up the story but to be honest, I do not like the manga to go down that route since it has been made clear that the manga and anime are both different worlds. It just feels unoriginal so I hope it is not an intended option. That’s why despite Kuroshitsuji‘s popularity, I still think part of it is due to hype because in terms of story-telling, PH is way better. This is entirely my opinion of course.
–Michi no Mukou no Ookamisama–
-Kimi to Boku-
This is the 2nd of two OMFG NOoooOO It’s Can’t Be True @_@ Chapters!
This manga pulls its biggest twist yet and trolls most its unsuspecting fandom populace into disbelief mode. But seriously, go back and read PH from the beginning and you’ll see Mochizuki-sensei cleverly inserted all the tiny details that we impatient readers tend to miss or dismiss as irrelevant to the plot in our haste to chase after the characters in their adventure. But the clues are there and it has led to this momentous revelation and the whole world of PH as we used to know it, is now upside down. Jack is the one who is psychotic and Glen was trying to stop him all along. And oh my poor Raven, Vincent really was trying to protect Gil from the awful truth, truth that is now tearing him apart. And that’s why Vince resorted to his tortured decision to wipe away the horrible past so that Gil won’t have to suffer such a devastating realization.
Jack, you are so sweetly Evil. The only way I reckon is for OZ to stop what Jack is sure to continue now that the sealing stones are all destroyed and the seal binding Jack’s soul is broken. What’s happening to Alice? Will Leo survive? The Baskervilles are as shocked as the fandom. They’ve been trolled just as hard. And Break, will he be alright fighting Rufus? Oh golly, it has been one nail biting cliffy one after the other with this chapter being the most mind-blown and incident filled! Mochizuki-sensei exceeds my expectation. The next chapter will be in the Nov issue. The fandom is anxiously waiting with baited breath!
