Asuka Issue 05/11 Furoku – Asuka Comics Premium

Oh hey, this is my first ‘Aside’ post and rather befitting too as it is more like a ‘shout-out’ to complement *Mag Updates: Asuka Issue 05/11* where I mentioned that there’s a bonus *freebie* that came with the issue. The freebie or ‘furoku’ is a booklet of 80+ pages containing short comics of ongoing manga series in Gekkan ASUKA. Participating mangakas who contributed to the booklet include Shouto Aya, Kajiyama Mika, Hatoya Nao, Sawaki Otonaka, Matsumoto Temari, Akaza Samamiya x Iwaki Hiromi, Isuzu Shibata, Kazato Nori, Brocoli x Kochimo, Katagiri Yoshisugu, Kosumi Fujiko…and a few others.

Snippets round-up from Asuka May edition!

This is a rather belated update but here’s my Asuka May issue snippets roundup. I skipped Uraboku because I already posted the chapter teasers up some weeks back. There are two new manga titles appearing in the May publication. That’s ‘Messiah’ and ‘Ouji wa Tadaima Dekasegi Chuu’. Messiah’s 1st chapter looks interestingly dark where as ‘Ouji’ has a comedy appeal. Best chapter progression goes to ‘The Conductor’. It just keeps getting better and better. After all the suspense build-up, a tragic consequence finally happens. Volume 3 is out this month i.e. Apr-26. Interested peeps can order it here.  There’s this other special omake booklet that came with this issue that I’ll probably put up on my LJ site. Be sure to check that out later. What do you know, time flies by so quickly that we are approaching the end of April and Asuka’s June issue is already on its way to me. Hopefully, I won’t be this late with an update of the new issue. Till then, enjoy!

It’s April 2nd and coming from me, these chapter spoilers are early aren’t they?! It would have been even earlier had I not been ultra busy but hey, considering the fact that I’m juggling several different projects on hand, one would count this output as a small miracle. (^_^;;

Another awesome double colour spread. Love the illustration. They look so calm and peaceful but unfortunately, what’s happening in the chapter is quite the opposite. *LoL* @ Frau & his porny mag.

Anyway, Kapitel 69 is excitably intense. Just when we think that things are going to be reflective after Teito recovered his locked memories, all hell broke loose.

Asuka Issue 05/11: Snippets from Uraboku Chapter 41

I bring you snippets from Chapter 41 of ‘Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru‘ (aka Uraboku) which appeared in the May issue of Gekkan ASUKA.  Of course, I’ll still be doing the regular mag updates from the issue (but a little later than usual).  This post is especially for fans of Uraboku who’ve been waiting patiently for a new chapter since Odagiri-sensei went on a long break many moons ago.  I gotta say Chapter 41 is rather amusing where everyone’s on a relaxing break.  I like the infusion of comedy especially how the characters interact with one another (*cues Hotsu & Kuroto) which made me *lol*. Anyway, scroll down for the snips.

This isn’t the cover for Chapter 41 though. It’s actually a colour spread from ASUKA Comics Premium, a bonus freebie that came in the May issue. *I will make the short comics available for interested scanlators/translators on LJ.

Ahaha…I’m being good by sharing scans from Pandora Hearts Vol.14 and not friend-locked them on LJ. Fans of Elliot should be squeeing in delight because he’s on the cover. This is one of my favourite covers and it’s a fitting tribute to dear Elly, who has pass on to the depths of the Abyss. If anyone is wondering, YES…these are my scans. Not someone else’s.
