Yay! Ayu is back with a long overdue update.  Well, I didn’t want to miss out sharing snips from the Oct issue of GFantasy and for the first time, some juicy *spoils* from Sylph manga mag. I reckon both Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts fandom have probably seen the scanlated of Chapters 49 and 53 respectively. So this post gives me an opportunity to post my favourite panels from both series. Besides, there are other titles that people might not have the chance of viewing and ‘Gfan’ is known to publish short one-off titles from upcoming Mangakas. I thought it’ll be fun to preview some panels from the one shots and the other titles that tickle my fancy. And heck ya, I got the freebie Kuroshitsuji mechanical pencil to go with the pen from last issue. This will also be the first time I post any snippets from ‘Sylph’ manga mag. I came across and pick up Issue 10 out of sheer curiosity for ‘Dear Girl ~stories~’ which is inspired by Kamiya Hiroshi and Ono Daisuke, two of my favourite seiyus. Fans of Sylph will *squee* at the bonus poster collection that came with the Oct issue. Anyway, it’s not going to be a regular feature on my current manga mag subscription list, though. Last but not least, guess I should warn you peeps that this is an image heavy post.  Enjoy and be absolutely swamp by the image spam… 😛

[Mags] Gekkan Asuka Issue 11 – Covers & Colour Pages!

tBP’s Manga Digest! featuring Gekkan ASUKA Issue 11

The November issue of Asuka is here at last. Fans of ‘Uraboku’ (Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru) will be squeeing with joy to know that the manga is back with a new chapter (40) in this issue. The chapter comes with a double page colour spread. Uraboku’s Volume 8 will be released on Oct-26 with Hotsuma and Shusei gracing the cover. As for the other manga titles in this issue, Manabu Kaminaga’s ‘The Conductor‘ gets an extra long chapter with 60 pages. ‘Ayahatori Shoukanjo‘ gets a double-page colour spread and will have its 2nd Volume release on Oct-26 (same day as Uraboku). A new manga by Hirotaka Kisaragi titled ‘Seiyu-Ichi Nensei‘ debut its first chapter as well. That is just some of the snippets from the November Issue. Enjoy!

Gundam 00 ‘A wakening of the Trailblazer’ ED – Qualia by UVERworld

Gundam 00 Movie ‘A wakening of the Trailblazer‘ premieres in theaters across Japan this Sat i.e. Sept-18. So it’s perfect timing for the release of UVERworld‘s latest single titled ‘Qualia‘. That’s because the single’s title track is the featured outro theme for the said movie. ‘Qualia’ is also UVERworld’s 16th single to date.

Kuroshitsuji II Insert Song Single – Kalafina’s Kagayaku Sora no Seijaku niwa

8th single release from Kalafina featuring the insert theme for Kuroshitsuji II titled ‘Kagayaku Sora no Seijaku niwa‘. The song was used as the ending theme on Episode 8 (ToroShitsuji) when Claude killed Alois.

Well, my updates from Asuka gets a delayed posting although I got the mag much earlier than Zero-Sum. I thought of waiting even further, at least until the next issue of Comic Blade Avarus which will be out this week. But I’m too buzzing busy so that might not even make the cut on tBP. I’ve a number of projects pending my attention which will prevent me from sharing snippets like I’m wont to do. Anyway, there aren’t that many *spoils* this time round. Instead, I’ll just share my picks of what I thought are interesting from my point of view. In case Uraboku fans are wondering, the manga is still on hiatus and will ‘probably’ be back in the Nov issue. Why did I say probably? Cos it’s been rather unpredictable, just like me. Enjoy what you get!

I haven’t had time to cover op/ed singles releases like I used to and the August ani-singles batch hasn’t got anything that really caught my ear except those that I’ve already touched on. But if ‘music be the food of life’ than I really can’t let these two recent singles pass under tBP’s music radar (lol). TV anime Shiki’s OP/ED songs are contenders for my favourite intro and outro songs from the Summer anime season. On top of that, Shiki is currently my favourite summer ani-series.
