Kaji borrows a viola from the School’s music room and have a go at it. Hino overheard and enjoys the sound of the viola, is surprised that it’s Kaji who’s the one playing it. Kaji reveals why he gave up the violin and has been secretly playing the viola instead.

Kaji overheard Tsukimori practising on his violin. They had a chat about technique, skill, love and then Hino…lol. Why does Hino has an effect on the guys?

Etou is still a snooty brat. He is actually younger than he looks which is probably why he doesn’t understand what’s  passion, heart and soul gotta do with music.  Kaji tells Hino that’s what she possessed when she plays her music and what impresses and inspires him the most. Etou thought only unskilled people think that way. The brat needs to grow up  somemore and falls in love…then he’ll know what Kaji means. Tsk! Too bad Kira himself is a snooty bachelor. Must be that’s where Etou picks up the cocky attitude from.

While the ensemble team took a breather from their practice session, they overheard Hino’s violin music coming from the garden.

So the guys and gal all troop to the garden, joining Kaji to listen and watch her play her piece without Hino being aware of their presence. She was taken aback as to why they’re all there.  Then she proceeds to tell Ousaki that she’s excepting his invitation after telling them that she has rediscovered her true motivation for playing the violin. Kaji in turn surprised the guys by saying that he wants to join the ensemble. Ousaki is delighted. So’s Kanayan. Hihara and the others  welcome the inclusion.

Of course, in a tale like this you’ll always have a lovely maiden who’s the main motivation for a guy to do what he does. The guy gets on his knee and proposed, shocking all his other rivals for the maiden’s affections…lol. I kid!!!

It’s the day of the concert. The ensemble performed to a rapturous reception. Everyone gave their sparkly best and their combined effort resulted in a sparkling performance. It seems that Kaji is the key to sync the ensemble together with his viola. Etou, who was watching the concert with Kira, remarked that’s the level which is suitable for him and tells Kira to be prepared for his enrollment next year. After the ensemble’s performance, Hino gets ready to depart for her Children’s concert. Her friends sends her off with their best wishes and support.

That’s the end! Fin!

      @ lyka, sorry but as far as we know, there aren’t any plans for any new episodes. What you see is basically what you get. Who knows what will happen in the future. 🙂

      @Anne, Hino doesn’t seem to have chosen any of the guys yet although it was implied that she may have some feelings for Len….but then again, that girl seems to have feelings for all the guys…XDD.

    Yeah, I agree it was definitely not what I was hoping for…But then again the music was really wonderful. I especially liked the insert song when Kaji is reflecting on the words of everyone. Does anyone know what it’s called?

    Thanks for the great post and screencaps 🙂

      @IchigoDelight: Aww, you’re welcome. Yes, the thing that stood out the most is the music. I noticed the insert song as well. I think it’s one of the character songs sang by Mamoru Miyano. Anyone else paid attention to that? Those who know the title, maybe you’ll like to share with all of Corda fandom here. 🙂

    thanks for the review and caps!!

    I just finished the ep. I agree… I was all wtf about the ending too. 😦 Its a shame, and didn’t really make sense for them not to include it. I guess they wanted to give Kaji more bishie screen time? oh well, yep we have the manga. I enjoyed the anime, but thank God the manga has more character development and stuff. Imo anyway. :p

    also, lulz the “proposal” scene. XD All the different reactions were priceless.

      @Leah: You’re welcome & thank you for your comments.(^_^)

      I sort of agree that this OVA special serves more to introduce Kaji-kun and consequentially, Etou and Kira into the existing line-up. Thank goodness we have the manga for story development…although the recent chapters seemed to be slow going.
