A cooling thought on a warm evening

How about some gelato, ne?

Gelato of many flavours can be found in this little shop, tucked away in a narrow cobbled stone street, nearby Piazza del Duomo in Florence (or Firenze as the locals called it). Well, one can find a Gelataria or gelato vendors nearly everywhere. You’d be hard pressed not to find one when you are in Italy. I do so missed the fruity popsicle that is made from real fruits and there’s even veggie popsicle.  I like them more than gelato.

Grains of Rice

Grains of Rice

They leave rice fields to travel far and wide:
who doesn’t count on them for sustenance?
Doffing their golden coats, they bask in sun;
displayed in every place, they shine like jade.
Time after time, their forebears saved the realm-
for centuries their breed has fed our folk.
By fire and water they’ll forsake their lives:
is anyone aware what they do?

The little white messengers

I’ve been led by the messengers of Inari to share this picture. =^_^=  These little kitsune figurines welcome visitors & their offerings at the Nonomiya shrine in Sagano/Arashiyama, Kyoto. I love the cool air and surroundings of the Nonomiya shrine which apparently has quite a history attached to it, with interesting tales and legends too.

New Year Greetings!

Happy New Year 2014 everyone.

Thank you for visiting tBPII over the past year. It has been a rather quiet year of inactivity in this blog as I’m now on semi-hiatus. Time passes, some things remained the same but for the most part, a lot of changes has happened in RL. As such, the New Year will most likely sees less blogging activity. Nonetheless, tBPII shall chug along as and when Ayu can managed. I hope everyone else have had an awesome past year and looking towards an even more promising start to the New Year of the Horse.
