tBP Manga Digest! featuring GFantasy Issue 09
I’ve been meaning to post this right after Avarus & JSQ but ya, RL stuff puts it on the back burner. I’m so behind with my manga raw scans contribution for certain *groups*…many apologies. I know you’ll (you know who you are) be checking out this space just to keep up with what’s going on.😛 Be rest assured I’ll get the backlog out of the way in due time. Such is the love Ayu has for the little manga loving community, yosh?! Well as they say, *patience* is a virtue especially when you’ve very limited free time on your hands and RL stuff gets top priority. Am I making any sense at all?! (^w^)
On to GFan 09. This issue is one of my favourites. Why so? Nabari no Ou ends its serialization with its final chapter in this issue. I’ve been following Nabari on and off ever since the anime. I’m glad the manga came to an end. Dragging the story any further would have kill my waning interest. It’s nice to see Miharu giving Yoite a proper farewell but it’s sad to see Koichi disappear for good along with Shijima. Koichi is one of my favourite Nabari character. Sucks that he won’t be with Raimei. At least Thobari is alive and the rest of the gang including Yukimi and Raiko are together.
Kuroshitsuji’s chapter is rather short this time but blimey, I love the reveal of the true murderer at the end. I’d mentioned in a previous post about how the whole whodunnit was solved so conveniently that I figure there’s a much smarter mastermind involved…more like masterminds. Phantomhive vs someone else who eventually turned out to be Grey. Knew he’ll be involved somehow and was playing along when Jeremy managed to frame the evidence on Woodley instead. Clever move by Ciel and Sebastian. Grey was outplayed. But now everyone wants to know why Grey did it? Was it the Queen’s order or he has some other motives?
Mochizuki-sensei turns up the suspense with Pandora Hearts latest chapter (52). I gotta to say that the last several chapters had been awesome in building up the tension and mystery surrounding the headhunter and creepy Yura’s intention. Shit is about to hit the fan. Poor Elliot getting to witness firsthand the headhunter’s latest victim…he’ll be traumatized big time because it’s his sister that’s headless and dead now. I don’t think Elliot is the headhunter as implied at the cliffhanger but I do think that he might be connected to Glen in some way. Reo was the first one I suspected as the one behind the headhunter. He seems to be unstable. Everyone is now caught in Yura’s net whose real reason to invite our beloved baka rabbit gang and the pandora troupe there is to recreate the tragedy of Sablier. The man is obviously demented. Omigosh, I want to know if Reim is still alive. Lily better not kill him. She’ll be sorry if she does. The fact that Break misses Reim is so lovely. Go rescue him, Break.
Ok, enough of my fangirl babblings. On a side note, I don’t care if people find the quality of the scans not up to their HQ standards. The fact that I’m sharing them at all speak for itself. At the very least, you have the chance to enjoy some updates of the less known titles plus spoilers which you won’t otherwise get on your own…except perhaps for the more popular series.
Now then, on to the piccies. Enjoy!
::NEW MANGA DEBUT::
One Shot Manga: SCHONE MARCHEN by eKu – This one caught my interest for being a twisted fairy tale that’s quite hilarious in parts. If you can’t handle a wish, don’t wish it or get greedy or else you’ll crap in your pants and get shit thrown in your face… moral of the story. So enjoyable, I love it. More one shots like this, purleez!!!
I decided to pick Pandora Hearts as the focus since Kuroshitsuji’s chapter is basically recap except for the cliffhanger reveal at the end.
Lastly, we say FAREWELL to another manga ending its run on GFan.
