ABS frontman, Nishikawa Takanori‘s solo music project T.M. Revolution is back with a new double A-side single titled ‘Naked Arms/Sword Summit’. Both songs on the single are tied to the hit Sengoku Basara franchise. ‘Naked Arms‘ is used as the OP theme for the SB3 Game whereas ‘Sword Summit’ is the OP theme for TV anime Sengoku Basara 2 which is currently airing in Japan.

I actually liked ‘Naked arms’ over ‘Sword Summit’. Both are fast beat, techno-synth pop tracks but ‘Sword Summit’ just sounded repetitively bland after a while and it’s a whole lot less catchy in terms of melody. I’m not sure I really like it for an OP song. ‘JAP’ was miles better and much more memorable both as an OP theme and as a stand alone pop-rock number. ‘Naked arms’ on the other hand has a catchy and rousing beat which does not sound like it’s on a loop. At least, there’s variation in the verses. Oh, there’s even an English version of ‘Naked Arms’ included on the single xD. Can’t fault Takanori for trying to go international with his English version. Well, he does possess a strong and distinctive voice even if you can’t really make out the English words. xD

Tracklist:
01. Naked arms **
02. SWORD SUMMIT **
03. Naked arms ~English ver.~ ** Game Sengoku BASARA3 (Overseas Edition) Opening Theme
