Sengoku Basara ED Single – Break & Peace by Dustz

Music Post!

It’s DUSTZ debut single featuring Sengoku Basara’s outro song “Break & Free”
To be honest, I’ve never heard of this 4-piece rock band before. The first time I heard the name Dustz was of course, from the Sengoku Basara ED. But that is to be expected because they’re quite new on the music scene. Break & Free is the band’s first single release from a major label. I guess they’ll get good exposure for their outro song contribution for TV anime Sengoku Basara.

Surprisingly, I quite like the full length single version of Break & Free. It sounded better than the ED sized version. You get a better feel of the song and music. Ray, the lead vocalist has got pretty good vocals and he kind of remind me of Gackt especially the vocal tones. But having said that, Break & Free isn’t as catchy as Abingdon Boys School’s JAP. The second track is called “Void“and is a semi-rock ballad which I seem to like more than the title track. It’s quite an expressive tune. Worth a listen.

The songs aren’t really standout tracks but it’s still not a bad first debut for Dustz. Check them out if you like.
