FMA:Brotherhood ED Single – SID’s 嘘 Uso

Music Post!

Well, here it is – FMA:Brotherhood’s ED Single Release! 嘘 by SID.

SID returns with their 2nd single release  for 2009 (correct me if I’m wrong cos I’m too tired to verify my info).  Anyway, Uso the titular song is used as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood‘s first outro song and I must say, it is one catchy song.  Animax features a clip of the song for the series’ promo and each time the clip came on, the song’s melody get stuck in my head.  SID appears to have a knack for writing melodious j-rock songs.  It’s not the first time they did it either. Kuroshitsuji’s theme song certainly stood out for it’s melody and awesome lyrics.  Part of Uso’s lyrics somewhat reflected the theme of the series it is featured on.  It just made the whole song more meaningful that way.

The single also features two b-side tracks, Hikasa and Yuukan Collection~Live at the Budokan.  Hikasa is a ballady rock song with some soaring vocal parts.  Yuukan Collection is a live track recorded during SID’s concert performance at the Budokan.  I can’t help but enthused how fantastic Mao’s singing is on all the tracks…particular on Hikasa.  He sounds great singing live, proving that it’s no fluke. He has such a fab expressive vocals that don’t quite match his appearance…lol. I often go like ‘wow’ does this voice really belong to this *pretty* guy?  Overall, a good single from SID.
