Kuroshitsuji Episode 12 and 13

I managed to watch episodes 12 and 13 of Kuroshitsuji recently and at my own leisure pace too. I guess people can stop complaining about the anime not going back to the manga arc for now because the ‘Indian’ arc is here…whoopie! Not that I complain much about the fillers as I think they’re still quite entertaining. But I am most definitely glad they finally got back on to the manga track. However, I get the feeling that the filler arc is far from over and I think they’ll conclude it after they’re done with the ‘Indian’ arc.

Episode 12: His Butler, Lonely

Episode 12 impression:
Wow, Sebastian got unexpectedly bitch slapped by Ciel! Really,Ciel. He was just trying to save your butt. It’s no good rescuing Elizabeth if you’re all strung up and dead because you’re definitely no match for toy man and his unknown puppet master. I supposed it can’t be help because it really shows that Ciel cares for Lizzie and is quite capable of feeling compassion even though he tries so hard to hide it under that steely cool demeanor. It shows that he doesn’t want to lose anyone else who is close to him after what happened to Madam Red and tries to save his betrothed on his own. Ciel’s interactions and concern for Lizzie in this episode is kind of mushy cute too…elicit an ‘awwww’ from me. The other interesting thing is how Sebastian abides by his ‘contract’ with Ciel…and yet, sometimes he lets Ciel comes oh so close to the edge before doing anything. I say, that butler is intentionally devious.

Love the way Sebby destroyed the mannequin dolls with his own amusing rendition of ‘london bridge’. So does that mean that the kidnapped girls are all dead cos they all turned into dolls? Curiously enough, the toy man said he thought he was human but felt no longer like one when he’s got straws coming out of his edifice. Look what happen to him in the end. He died a doll death and his master (the one sitting on that tall chair) isn’t even human. Grell’s re-appearance is more or less to inject comedic relief but nothing more. The intriguing part was towards the end when our maid Angela appears. That girl is more sinister and mysterious than ever. It seems that she has something to do with whole kidnapping, doll and ring incident. What’s the connection with Ciel’s past? Why lure him…does she want his soul too? With Pluto still in the plot, I’m guessing we’ll get to see more of her when they wrap up the filler arc later. Will there be a battle between the maid and our akuma shitsuji?! Let’s wait and see…lol.

The dolls snapped to Sebastian’s rendition of ‘london bridge’ and fell. Twist one, twist them all. Toy man not happy that Sebastian is getting away with Ciel, his intended victim. Elizabeth was just a bait.

Ciel’s freaking mad that Sebastian disobeyed orders and whacked! him with his gloved fingers. Forget the darn contract…save me, save my gal…he said. Tsk, tsk…let’s not get ahead of yourself here little brat. Pluto’s cute jumping onto Sebastian like that. Grell’s envious. But wait, something is causing the collar to glow bright blue and turning Pluto back to his demon dog form. The same blue luminescence is coming from the door to the tower. Dog rush in and everyone else follows in pursuit.

The gang found Lizzie in the toy man’s workshop up on the tower but she’s not quite herself. In fact, she’s all wired out in attack mode. The axe is fearsome…Ciel nearly lost his head. Grell and his scissors cut off those wires and help saved everyone…after some sweet talking from Sebastian though. But it’s not over yet!

Toy man traps everyone with his invisible wires but Sebastian kicks up the axe on the floor and sends it flying towards toy man. Launching himself using Grell, he broke free and proceed to hit the toy man, causing straws of hay to come out of his head. Toy man fell to ground…but he’s not *dead* yet and proceed to get up and walks towards the room to where his master is. But he’s on his last leg and immediately collapse on the ground upon opening the door for his guests.

Everyone enters the room and gasp! what’s Pluto doing lying besides the enemy sitting on high back chair, they wondered. Puppet master begins taunting Ciel about knowing his past, how he was tortured and kidnapped. Ciel demands to know who puppet master is and rushes forward. But shock, horrors…puppet master isn’t human…it’s just a life-sized doll with a curious little clown doll sitting on his lap. Little clown doll made a scary face, jumps out of the chair and ran off.

Lady Elizabeth is saved and Ciel’s glad his beloved is alright. Grell took off after a threat from Sebastian. Everyone’s back at Ciel’s mansion safe and sound to celebrate Ciel’s birthday, much to his annoyance. I bet he just pretend to be aloof but in fact he’s quite pleased that Lizzie’s doing this for him. Back at the yard, Aberlene’s surprised that it’s Ciel birthday too. He’s is obviously curious about our little Earl.

Meanwhile, out in the snow filled streets, the little clown doll sang a creepy phrase as it ran towards the bridge. Low and behold, a strangely familiar figure waits and grabs the doll as it approaches her. It’s maid Angela and she has return. Smiling queerly, she cracks the doll with her hand and threw it onto the icy waters below the bridge. It’s not over yet…no it’s not. The evil maid will back.

Drocell is an interesting anime only character. I wonder if Yana is going to feature him in the manga in the future. Maybe not. Best left anime characters to the anime.

hiya Kitsune: Episode 14 is supposed to air this week. I think the time slot is still the same but I could be wrong. Need to check some more. They took a week off like most the major shows. Last week, a 1st half recap episode was aired in place of Ep 14. Can’t wait to see more of Agni vs Sebastian though.

I want to see more Angela 🙂

Agni is a nice character, and I like his voice too 🙂

It looks like episode 14 is not out yet, do you know when it will air?
