I like this episode much more than the last episode. It was just comedy and fun, nothing too serious and no open ended mystery. I happily watch it as it is and no complains even though this is still a filler episode. I hazard a guess that they’ll do a second season if the studio is sticking to churning out fillers for the remaining episodes. Nothing could make me happier than a second season if that’s the case. But anyway, moving on to the episode. Ciel has a brand new toy to play with and it’s a camera. He privately engages the household staffs to covertly take a picture of Sebastian in order to satisfy his curiosity on his butler’s secret desire.
So, we have the entire episode showing the staffs’ various attempts and failure to capture a single shot and when they finally did, it ended up being purposely destroyed anyway. Lau and his pretty leggy playmate appears in this episode to lend Ciel a helping hand with his photograph mission too and ya, like the others…his plan is a failure. Well, it’s kind of hard to sneak in a shot especially when you have a super demon butler who is very much aware of what’s going on and does his best to elude being photographed in print. And he did that so effortlessly. He reads his master’s thoughts quite well, that butler.
There’s also this really cute scene of Sebastian getting all mushy over a black cat and Pluto getting jealous. That was funny and too cute. Poor man-dog is really lacking in lovey dovey attention since leaving Houndsworth and Angela. He’s kinda pining for her. Luckily, Phantomhive’s grounds are huge enough for the doggy to run around. And Tanaka, I’m curious at how he appears chibi-sized most of the time and then normal sized at other times, especially when he has something serious to say. Funny how he go ‘poof’ like that. From the preview, it looks like we get to see ‘The Undertaker’ again in the coming episode. More wacky weirdness to look forward too, I suppose.
Screencaps this way >>>
Ciel getting the gang together to show off his new camera plaything and got the nervous Finny to be his first test subject. Fin is of course upset his picture came out funny…hehe. The gang then got roped in a secret mission to try and snap Sebastian on camera. Ah…finally something worthwhile to do, especially if it’s getting back at Sebastian. The troupe is all excited with their mission and so is our cheeky little Earl. Good luck trying, gang.
Seb sends our bumbling gang outside to walk the dog. Well, they sort of fail at that too. Finny needs some training to walk the dog and avoid getting burn…lol. Aww, Sebby sees cat and goes all mushy and blush, playing with it. Unfortunately, doggy saw all that attention, got jealous and whack the cat away. Poor man-dog is starve for attention too. I do feel sorry for man-dog Pluto. He doesn’t belong there and he needs Angela.
Lau turns up with his buxom and leggy playmate to lend Ciel a helping hand with his mission…but it didn’t turn out quite right. Not when the playmate ended up flirting with the guest who was on a business visit to the mansion. So then, back to the drawing board for Ciel. Sebby’s having fun avoiding all the attempts and even makes fun of Ciel with the doggy paws cookies.
Another attempt by Ciel and gang. This time, Ciel hatched a plan for Finny to throw a big statue and him so as to trigger Sebastian to come save him. He thinks maybe there would be time enough for the gang to snap his picture while all this was going on. Well, they did but eh, Sebby has a backup plan as usual. Man-dog Pluto was sent to destroy the pictorial evidence and earn a doggy treat. Instead, Sebby got the opportunity to turn the tables on Ciel when he walked in on Ciel dozing off with the camera lying on his desk. Lol…that’s one of the best bit. Sebby’s just too cool. The result of his picture is just awesome.
And the next day, the gang mull over the result of Sebastian’s photography skill. Ciel’s doubly annoyed of course and Sebastian’s all smiles. Wonder if the gang’s being punished by Ciel for failing his mission by having them play with Pluto…hehe. Give it up Finny, you’ll never figure out how Sebby came up with that photo.
