Episode 04: The Devil’s Quickening ~Libido~ [悪魔の胎動 ～リビドー～]
Gosh, I’m a little slow with this week’s episode update of VKG. Having stupid problems with crappy broadband connection isn’t helping much either. It’s good that the subbed version is out a bit earlier this time. Not that I depend on it as I usually watch the raw version first to get the screencaps. But anyway, the highlight of this episode is seeing Rido in his bloodbath. Yes, we finally get to see the real Rido in his own body albeit only momentarily. Poor Shiki is disgusted by what he saw and still ends up possessed by his ‘dad’. I rather like the shocked look on Ichijou’s face when he saw what happened to Shiki, who isn’t quite himself anymore.
Yuuki too must be feeling Rido because she had a vision of having a bloodbath. She’s still angsting about the missing bits of her past. So, Zero suggested that they visit the Hunter’s Association Archives to see if they can find anything in the records that might shade some light on what she’s looking for. Instead of finding more answers, she ended up causing some pages of a book to burst into flames. Somehow, that scene made me thought of the magical books at the forbidden section of the Hogwart’s Library.
Not many screencaps this week but here they are anyway.
Shiki was summoned by his uncle saying that it’s time he learns the family’s best kept secret. Poor dude. I don’t think that’s how he wanted to be introduced to his er…*dad*. By the look on Shiki’s face, it probably never cross his mind that he’ll end up being a vessel for Rido. The blood tentacles are pretty cool though.
Angsty Yuuki begins to wonder what’s happening to her as she keeps having weird dreams and bloody visions. She spook herself enough and decided to seek the truth about her missing past with Zero’s help.
Zero and Yuuki along with Cross made their way to the Hunter’s Association Headquarters where they were greeted with odd stares mostly meant for Zero. Well, the weird looking President of the Association turns up to greet them. He purposely lured Zero into a room where they kept bloodied pieces of cloth just to see if his blood lust gets the better of him. While looking up an old record, Yuuki had a scare when the pages she touched burst into flames. Apparently, someone didn’t want her to see what’s on those pages.
Back at the Chairman’s Residence, Zero asked if Cross knew anything about the Twins Curse. Cross thought that it was a myth and he does not really know anything about it. Yagari, who had earlier on tag along with the group to the Association’s premises, tells Cross that he confirms his suspicions that something fishy is going on at the Association. He seems to be aware of the Twins Curse too. Meanwhile Yuuki gets emotionally affected by the unexpected incident at the Association’s Library and Zero sought to calm her fears by telling her to do what she needs to do if she wants to find out the truth. That means, she has to go and ask Kaname-sama about it.
It’s nice to see Aidou man-up and daring to ask Kaname-sama about his parents death to which Kaname respond that they were murdered. Loyal Aidou continues to offer his support to a much appreciative Kaname-sama. Shocked Ichijou couldn’t believe his eyes when his gramps Ichiou introduced him to a changed Shiki who’s actually Rido, feeding on a female victim.
More Rido please!
