From the desk: Baack from my holiday :)

If anyone wondered why there isn’t any activity on tBPII or nary a tweet from me for the past one week, it’s because I’ve been on an eagerly awaited and much needed holiday. In fact, I’d gotten back only yesterday. It feels fab to be away from any form of internet communication during the break. All I did was relax and enjoy myself, being with friends and family, without a care in the world really. It was a total blast. I also had the best surprise birthday present ever and that’s a stay at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel with a breathtaking 5-star view of the bay (from the 24th floor). What more could a girl asked for? How about an all day pass at Universal World plus a 2 nights stay at the Swiss MÖvenpick Heritage Hotel? I’m floored by all the surprises but it was the funnest time I had in a long, long while. On that note, I want to thank those of you who’ve sent me birthday wishes. <3 ^_-

Here’s a postcard view from my room at Tower 1 of S’pore’s Marina Bay Sands which I took with my camera.

From the desk: Having herbal tea and chasing the blues away with music

Ta dah…this is actually a small music post disguised as a random update  (j/jkg)

Ya, Ayu is still very much alive although she’s been rather quiet. Quiet on the blogging scene but definitely not in the real world where things are mad cap busy. Been under the weather as well and is currently on medication to stave off the onset of a cold (flu). Hopefully, it won’t descend into a full blown mess. DO NOT WANT!

Babblings plus Avarus Wowpaper – April Edition

Babblings, Help!Japan Cause and then some!

I’ll probably receive my copy of Avarus April issue tomorrow. I didn’t think the distributor would ship it after all that had happened and is still happening in crisis hit Japan. Indeed, I deeply appreciate that they went to all the troubles to do that. It wouldn’t have mattered if these things get delayed because the people there do have greater issues and hardships at hand and we shouldn’t expect normalcy to resume in the interim. I will of course, continue to keep my current magazine subscriptions if it means supporting the continued survival of the mangaka’s works and the manga industry in this difficult times.

Additionally, we peeps can show our support or contribute to help the stricken victims. Google has set up a crisis response site here. They’ve listed 3 very legitimate organizations where people can make donations to. One of them is the ‘Japanese Red Cross Society‘ whom as I was told, are doing their utmost on the ground to help the victims of the twin disaster despite facing shortages of essential necessities.  Donations can also be made here, a site the JRCS setup specially for the earthquake relief efforts. So then, if you do have some spare change or savings to spare, this might be the time to put a percentage of it to good humanitarian use.

With that said, the April edition of Avarus manga wallpaper are up on their site. This time, ‘Sengaku’ and a new manga title ‘ViVo!’ are featured.

Happy Christmas Everyone!

A Little Yuletide Greeting from Ayu and The Brownie Post!

I would like to wish the regular readers, visitors and random passers-by to my blog a very ‘Merry and Happy Christmas 2010‘.

As I’ve tweeted recently, I’m rather busy these days, more so as the year end approaches. That’s not to say I won’t be getting a little respite from the hectic schedule. My short holiday break begins tomorrow, that’s on the eve of Christmas. I shall be enjoying an evening of merry making with family and very close friends, followed by a midnight Mass attendance at a local Church. Thereafter, I hope to immerse my mind and body in blissful sleep. I can assure you that sleep time is something that is much needed and treasured nowadays especially if you’re in my world. (^_^;;  I do look forward to getting some semblance of normalcy back on ‘The Brownie Post II’. So much to share but so little time. In spite of that, thank you all for being such lovely peeps. Here’s wishing you too enjoy peaceful moments with your families and friends in this holiday season. ♥♥♥

We wish you a ‘Kuro’ Christmas, we wish you a ‘Kuro’ Christmas …lala
