I admit it. I luuuve this song. “Imaginary Friends” is the opening track to Galileo Galilei‘s 2nd album titled “PORTAL“. It’s such a fittingly catchy track that’ll hook you right in to the album. I love the seemingly playful, intertwining vocals of Ozaki Yuuki and the female background vocalist. Besides that, it is a pleasantly melodious track that incorporates heavier synths, complementing the gentler guitar sound, less anthemic but exudes a more fantasy-world kind of vibe. Definitely one of my favourite songs from Galileo Galileo after Asu e (Ashita e), SGP and Sayonara Frontier. Scroll down for a listen and sing along with the lyrics.

Fall 2010 Anime: OP/ED Quick Impression Part II
I didn’t think I’d get the chance to continue with this little review but here I am with the 2nd Part of my Autumn anime op/ed run through. Again, the selections are based on what I’ve watched and naturally, it’s not everything. Of this batch, there are some likable ones but that’s just it, really. More of the same and none too memorable except for an old Ghibli classic. I also included the new sets of op/ed from the continuing Summer anime that had premiered their new themes in Fall. Um yeah, loved Shiki’s new op/ed combo. Too bad, no Shiki episode this week. It’s back on air again next week.
Gundam 00 Movie ‘A wakening of the Trailblazer‘ premieres in theaters across Japan this Sat i.e. Sept-18. So it’s perfect timing for the release of UVERworld‘s latest single titled ‘Qualia‘. That’s because the single’s title track is the featured outro theme for the said movie. ‘Qualia’ is also UVERworld’s 16th single to date.
I haven’t had time to cover op/ed singles releases like I used to and the August ani-singles batch hasn’t got anything that really caught my ear except those that I’ve already touched on. But if ‘music be the food of life’ than I really can’t let these two recent singles pass under tBP’s music radar (lol). TV anime Shiki’s OP/ED songs are contenders for my favourite intro and outro songs from the Summer anime season. On top of that, Shiki is currently my favourite summer ani-series.

Well, here it is. Kuroshitsuji II’s OP Single ‘Shiver’ by The Gazette.
More Shivers After The Cut
Catch-up post featuring Galileo Galilei‘s debut single ‘Natsuzora‘ and Suneohair‘s new single ‘Sakasama Bridge‘.
CD Title: Natsuzora
Artist(s): Galileo Galilei
Release Date: 9-Jun-2010
I miss out on this single earlier on but hey, never too late to chat about it as the title track is the catchy opening theme to my favourite anime sequel of the Spring season and that’s ‘Ookiku Furikabutte‘ (Big Windup!) also known by fans as ‘Oofuri’. Newcomer Galileo Galilei‘s debut single ‘Natsuzora‘ certainly did well to capture the upbeat, energetic vibe of Season 1′s first opening theme ‘Dramatic’ by Base Ball Bear. Continue reading
