Quick Stops: Pandora Hearts 74, Kuroshitsuji 70 and ZeroSum 07-12

Been a while since I chatted about Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji manga. I managed to catch up on the recent chapters too. Aside from that, I thought I should include some freebies from the ZeroSum July issue as I haven’t posted anything from the manga mag lately. On that note, I maybe getting my copy of ZSUM’s August edition a little later than usual this month cos I’m late renewing my subscription. Same goes for ASUKA. That means I’ll probably won’t play the 07-G brain teaser and just post my thoughts on the new chapter when I get my copy of the mag. Well, life is busy these days as you can tell. :P

So then, let’s get back to the topics at hand.

Blurbs on GFantasy Issue 10/11

Manga Digest continues with blurbs on GFantasy Issue 10/11!

Ayu says:
“GFantasy Oct issue is truly a bumper one. It’s soooo thick and you know what, it’s packed with one of the biggest twist of a tale that I’ve read this month. Seriously, Oct is a month full of twists and turns from several of my regular favourites. But OMG, GFan tops the list with two fantabulously awesome chapters, one of them is just so mind blowingly good. I could go on and on but yeah…nobody wants mindless babblings now, do they?!” :P

Who’s on the cover you ask? A bunch of boys from a slow-mo manga called ‘Kimi to Boku‘ trying to appear bad-ass…LOL. That’s because the boys are going to have their own animated show on TV next month. Cue the ‘cool’ shot for the cover. XD That’s right peeps, Hotta Kichi’s ‘Kimi to Boku’ will air this coming OCT.

Honestly, the cover illustration induces lots of chuckles from moi. ^o^

Babblings: GFantasy Issue 08, Kuroshitsuji 59, Pandora Hearts 63 + Comic Gene Special

Hullo Everyone! I’m listening to Hiroyuki Sawano‘s fab composition Devil’s Symphonic Suite 2nd Movement i-AM from ‘Ao no Exorcist Original Soundtrack 1‘ while putting up this post. Might I say it again, I’m in love Sawano for coming up with such an epic blast of a soundtrack. :P   Yeah, I just had to say it

Anyway, I’ve been hibernating away from this blog and the usual mag updates for prolonged periods of time these days. It’s a case of the input being more than the output. I’m mostly enjoying the mags subscriptions when I can scrounge some free time to read them but no longer have I the time to scan and post updates like I use to.  So, I’ll have to make do with babblings on the chapters I find interesting and not post a wall of multiple chapter snippets.  But of course, when I can squeeze in time, I’ll go back to the usual mag updates format.

Nonetheless, I’m back to share some eye-candy from Gfantasy Issue 08 and babblings on Kuroshitsuji Chapter 59 and Pandora Hearts Chapter 63. For the lovely peeps who’ve been following tBP’s mag updates on a regular basis, I’m especially sharing scans of the freebie illustrative booklet from COMIC GENE’s inaugural issue. Alas, I wish I could share more snippets from Comic Gene. I might just post some snips from the 2nd issue a little later in the week. In the mean time…

GRELL, the chain-saw wielding shinigami from Kuroshitsuji reddened the cover of GFantasy’s August edition.

Sharing some Sebby love… Huh, who’s he? A certain devilish butler is he

Kuroshitsuji related babbling!

Wow, there are things that I missed and THIS is one of them. Me a stalker of Devils 6th Day missed THIS?! Ah, what is my world coming to? Me wonders. Goes to *swoons* at ze devilishly lovely visage. (*_*)

Anyway, Congrats to Yana Toboso on her blog’s 5th anniversary. I do love and enjoy seeing her little doodles and illustrations of KS and other works. I like to see her draw for other manga just as much as her original work for Kuroshitsuji. Her illustrative contribution to El Shaddai is gorgeous and smexy. I hope to see more her work for other stuff in future.

Gfantasy Issue 08 – Kuroshitsuji Chapter 47

Kuroshitsuji Chapter 47 : That Butler Contemplating…

Kuroshitsuji received major pimpage once again on the August issue of Gfantasy. The freebies that came with it is a huge poster of KSII Claude Faustus (part of a series promoting KSII) and a pencil board with a different original illustration from Yana Toboso on each side. I’m not posting the huge poster though as I’m too lazy to put it together. You can probably find that on a certain KS focus forum and may have even seen the Kuroshitsuji centric images already but anyway, the ones I posted here are from my own copy of GF. It’s been a while since I chatted about the manga chapters but the recent arc appears to be coming to an end. My thoughts on Chapter 47 after the images.

Manga Volume Covers – Ayahatori Vol.1, +C Sword & Cornett Vol.4, Tegami Bachi Vol. 10 & Kuroshitsuji Vol.9 plus X’tras *_*

I thought I do a little roundup of tankoubon volume covers, colour pages and extras from the manga titles released in June.  These are from my own acquisition and collection. As always, click on the pics for a larger reso. So then, gawk at them while they are up. :P

*Just a tiny but important reminder*:
Use the images as you may but do not claim them as your own cos it would be pitiful if you do. Enjoy!

*I might edit this post to add in another June release that I missed.

Manga Bites – Catching up on the regulars plus some new ones

tBP’s Manga Digest!

Asuka06 cover
I haven’t been posting chapter snippets on the regulars in quite a while. So yeah, woe is me! It’s time to do some catch up (I know this is a stale phrase you find me repeating quite often lately, xD *is shot*). And what’s featured up front? Well, fans of KKM would immediately squee because Yuri and Conrad were on the cover of ASUKA issue #6. For those who doesn’t know, KKM stands for Kyo Kara Maoh (今日から㋮王!), a light novel series by Takabayashi Tomo, that was adapted into an anime series and comes in a manga adaptation as well.

Let’s see, aside from image spamming, what else will suffer from my random babbling on this belated post (belated because *gasp* Issues # 7 of both ZEROSUM and ASUKA are coming my way in a few days (/^o^)/ ).

  • Amatsuki Vol.11
  • Pandora Hearts – Retrace XLIX (49)
  • Kuroshitsuji – Chapter 45
  • Vampire Knight – Chapter 61
  • Darker than Black~Shikkoku no Hana – Chapter 18
  • D.Gray-man – Chapter 194
  • Random picks from ASUKA issue #6 (n_n)
